About The Event
Breastfeeding is a beautiful and natural way to nourish and bond with your baby, but it can also come with its challenges. That's why we believe it's essential to prepare before your little one arrives. Our prenatal breastfeeding class is run by a Certified Lactation Consultant, ICBLC, who will provide you with the necessary information, tips, and techniques to ensure a smooth and fulfilling breastfeeding experience for both you and your baby.
In this class you will learn:
- benefits of breastfeeding
- benefits of skin-to-skin
- how to tell if your baby is getting enough milk
- latching
- positioning
- best evidence-based practice for successful breastfeeding in early days and weeks
- growth spurts
- how to deal with common issues i.e. sore nipple, engorgement, mastitis
